What it does
Made for how you really cook
Kaeru Kitchen keeps things simple: your recipes first, and only the tools you need around them.
Import recipe
Bring a recipe home from anywhere
Type one in, or let the app read it for you. Paste a web link, choose a photo of a recipe card or cookbook page, or paste some text.
- From a link, a photo or pasted text.
- Send from Safari, Photos or other apps with Share.
- Always check an import before you cook from it. It is read automatically and can miss a line.
How it works
- Tap the add button on Home.
- Choose Import a recipe and a link, photo or text.
- Check the result, fix anything, and save.
How it works
- Open a recipe and add it to Shopping.
- Tick things off as you shop.
- Bring back anything you buy often.
Shopping list
From recipe to shopping trip
Send the ingredients of any recipe to your list, or add anything else you need. Amounts for the same item are combined.
- Add a recipe’s ingredients, or any item of your own.
- Mark things Bought or Not needed, and use Buy again from the past list.
- Change a name or an amount any time.
Tweak recipe
Make it yours, and never lose the original
Change an amount, a step or a note. The original stays safe next to your version, and the edit history shows every change.
- Scale the servings and the amounts follow.
- Switch between metric and imperial, or use the unit converter.
- Add photos of how it turned out, and notes for next time.
How it works
- Open a recipe and tap edit.
- Change what you like.
- Open the history to compare, or go back to an earlier version.
Your devices
On iPhone, iPad and Mac
Start a recipe on the sofa, cook from it in the kitchen. If you use iCloud, your recipes follow you between your own devices. There is no account to make.
Your privacy
Nothing leaves unless you say so
The app does not track you and has no ads. It only looks at a website when you ask it to import a link. Read how it works.
